Kowloon Restaurant: Reviews & Ratings

This all you can eat buffet had mixed reviews, but we were very surprised by how good this was. My sister and I were looking for something on a budget and this looked busy. While very basic inside the place is very clean and the food was tasty and constantly replenished. The staff were friendly and welcoming. For £15 each it was very good value as well. I couldn’t fault the food and service and would definitely go back.

Not the best Chinese but it was convenient for a quick take away. I wouldn’t eat inside, to be honest it looked scruffy, and not a nice looking place to sit and eat a meal, wouldn’t visit again. Cash only! Sorry but this day and age it isn’t great. Staff are rude .

For a cheap TAKEOUT option this is fab. £8 - you fill a typical Chinese takeout size plastic tub with anything from the ‘all you can eat Buffett’. Small-ish selection compared to the large resturant buffets, but for a take out it’s great. We then walked 3 minutes to Leister Square & ate in the park - much calmer… However - for £15 you can sit inside the resturant & have ‘as much as you can eat’… I overheard heard many complaints at the buffet; - from the seating space to attitude of staff to how limited the small buffet was… But as I said above - we did takeout & it was a tasty cheap option. Would do this again. Cash only… No wheelchair access.

Kowloon Restaurant in Chinatown is a bakery/Cantonese all-you-can-eat. The restaurant itself is small and unassuming, with the bakery attached next to it. This isn't my usual goto for quick bites but when I do I have the Char Siu (BBQ Pork) buns and the Sesame Seed Balls from the bakery to takeaway which are cheap in price and cheerful. The pastries are made in-house, and they have a wide variety of options to choose from. The service in the bakery section is also friendly and efficient, making it a great place to go for a quick and cheap bite to eat.
